Promoting Your Cause:  Developing an Integrated Marketing Plan for your Event!

Planning the event is half the battle here at Tufts. The other half is having a well developed marketing plan to ensure great attendance at your event. The tools discussed in this workshop will have you approaching how to market events in a whole different way. Discussion topics will include how to perform basic market research, how to interpret the data and putting a successful marketing plan into action. After this session, people will be asking you to help them promote events!

Honing Your Interview Skills

Selecting new members and leaders is an important task in sustaining the mission and purpose of your group or organization.  One great way to assist in the selection process is through interviewing.  This session will focus on learning best practices and potential pitfalls on how to properly interview your fellow students.  Additionally, there will be a frequently asked questions portion of the presentation focusing on how to prepare for interviews and how to empower yourself to talk about your experiences when you are on the other side of the table.

Marketing Yourself:  Translating Activities into Your Resume

You’ve been involved with an organization for a semester, a few years or your entire life but you aren’t sure how to put the pen to the paper when it comes to your skills. This session will provide you with some helpful ways to brainstorm, showcase and finesse your leadership attributes, skills and experiences.

Participating Citizenship:  Partnering with the Community!

Today, you are leaders of the Tufts campus. Tomorrow, you will be leaders of the world. Before you get to the world, learn how to actively approach, plan, mobilize and deliver on a community event. This session will also help you learn the basics of how to build a quality community relationship and the available resources to building your next community event or doing something outside the norm with your group.

Last Dance:  How Do I Help My Student Organization Close Out the Academic Year

It is the end of the school year. What am I supposed to do with my student group? Are we supposed to close out our account? How do I budget for next year? Come to this session to learn what is expected of all student organizations before you leave campus for the summer.
